Meet our Specialists:

Lydia Myers MOT, OTR/L, CAPS
Lydia is co-owner of Inspire Specialty Rehab. She has always had a passion for helping others. Prior to becoming an Occupational Therapist Lydia attended nursing school and worked at Sacred Heart Hospital as a nursing assistant, then obtained her biology degree from EWU and sold medical equipment. She then decided to change careers and return to the healthcare field to fulfill her lifelong passion of helping others. Lydia received her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from EWU and began practicing in the skilled nursing setting.
She remained in that setting for over 12 years and loved her job and found fulfillment in helping adults and seniors recover from a wide variety of injuries, illness, weakness, and overall deconditioning. Lydia found joy in assisting her clients return to their prior level of function, or better! Recently Lydia decided she needed a change of course in her career to allow her to provide more wholistic services to clients and give her with an improved work-home balance. This resulted in the establishment of Inspire Specialty Rehab and Lydia becoming a Certified Aging in Place Specialist through the National Association of Home Builders. Since this shift in her career path, she is enjoying increased flexibility in her schedule allowing her to spend more time with her family, including her husband, son and daughter. Lydia is excited to be on this new journey with The Care Shop Health & Wellness Co-op.
Please consider reaching out to Lydia for your wellness, fitness and skilled therapy needs, all provided in a holistic, client centered approach. Kristina Pfennig MS, CCC-SLP
Kristina Pfennig is co-owner of Inspire Specialty Rehab. She has dedicated her life to helping others prevent and overcome communication, cognitive, and social barriers. In her youth, moving from Air Force Base to Air Force Base sparked an interest in diverse languages and cultures. A master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology fanned the flames, and decades of working with adults after surgeries, injuries, and disease ignited into a calling.
Her practice is shaped by her belief that wellness and fitness, in addition to rehabilitation, are all parts of living a longer, healthier life, with successful communication and better interpersonal relationships. Kristina believes everyone is unique and strives to inspire each of her clients to overcome perceived differences to achieve their goals. She can help you improve your speech, language, voice quality, swallow, and cognition following head and neck cancers, strokes, traumatic brain injury, and progressive diseases. She can also help you prevent significant declines in health, modify your accent, and change your vocal quality. To advocate for her clients, she became an author of several journals, children's books, and coloring books, a YouTuber, and podcaster. Kristina is thrilled to be included on the journey with Lydia, Aiko, and The Care Shop Health & Wellness Co-op.
Kristina is excited to meet you either in person (in select locations) or online at www.RehabInspired.com.
